Mick training in the Brentwood gym and on sand at Santa Monica beach prior to his professional debut on St. Paddy’s Day 2017, at Madison Square Garden in New York.
OUTCOME: In his first professional fight against Tim Ibarra in a scheduled six-round super bantamweight (122 pounds) bout, Conlan won in the third round, finishing Ibarra with a barrage of shots after trapping him against the ropes.
Belfast Boxer Michael Conlan won the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Conlan is 25 and had an outstanding amateur career, he turned pro in 2017. Fellow Irish man UFC star Conor McGregor walked Conlan to the ring at his debut fight in New York. Conor McGregor visited Mick at the BNB gym and did some sparring.
